A four-page note entitled, "Forward Look: 1978/79-1982/83." The document sets out the basis on which the Forward Look is being prepared in readiness for discussions by the SRFC and other committees, in regards to the finances of the SRF. Note entitled, "Forward Look: 1978/79-1982/83"
A seven-page note, written by Dr. I. Munro, on synchrotron radiation from the SRS booster. The note details the synchrotron radiation spectrum produced by the booster, the running conditions of this equipment, the layout of the booster facility, and information on the vacuum system, the optical layout, and costs relating to modifications. The note also includes a graph of the vertically integrated synchrotron radiation spectra, and diagrams of the SRS. Note written by Dr. I. Munro on synchrotron radiation from the SRS booster

Mr Fendley informs Professor Munro that they are now producing the final section of a report regarding the nature of synchrotron radiation, and asks Professor Munro for some advice regarding various aspects. Letter from Mr J.A. Fendley of the SRC to Professor Munro
Three letters relating to the staffing arrangements at the SRF, with the SRC wishing to discuss further the request made by Professor Ashmore for ten more positions at the Facility. The final letter states the results of the discussion that Ashmore and Walker had at Daresbury, with eight new positions agreed upon. Correspondence from R. St. J. Walker, of the Science Research Council, to Professor A. Ashmore.
Mrs Paton informs Professor Ashmore that she has prepared a short note [enclosed] for the next meeting of the CNRS/SRC Joint Committee, dealing with their discussions on synchrotron radiation. Professor Ashmore is asked to examine the note and inform her of his opinion. The document refers to possible collaborative efforts between Britain and France, and that the SRC and the CNRS should encourage use of each other's facilities. It mentions that Professor Munro has already voiced interest using French facilities at Orsay and has conducted some preliminary work there. Letter from Mrs. J.O. Paton, of the SRC, to Professor Ashmore
