Optical bench as arranged by Prof. Clifton. Bed of cast iron 130cm long, divided in millimetres readings by Varnier to 0.1mm. 3 sliding uprights, made by Elliott Brothers. Various accessory apparatus: Frernol's mirrors, slits with micrometric adjustment, glass trough, Jamin apparatus, 7 rectangular plates for interference and defraction experiments, in case; table etc.
