Fire-piston (length 4 1/3 ins); cylinder of thick solid lead, with a deep brass collar; piston of hard wood; piston-head very large; attached by strings are a tinder-holder, formed of a small crocodile's tooth, and a slender wooden cleaning-rod; an exceedingly-heavy example (weighing altogether 22 oz); collected by Mr. C. R. Hose. Baram District, Sarawak.
