Record card, card, "X" Examination & Repair Card, issued by British Railways, document no. B.R. 87268. The card has been filled in for ex-War Office locomotive no. 6236 between 16 and 18 October 1962, recording parts examined, repairs carried out etc. The name of the depot has not been recorded, but the card is signed by F. Longrigg. "X" examinations were routine steam locomotive examinations and they were scheduled to happen at the same time as boiler washouts - the day was called an "X" day.
