The gauge is marked with two scales, one on the lengthways straight edge and one on the widthways straightedge. The straight edges are set at right angles and both slide. slide action is controlled via adjustable wing nuts set into each moving part. The gauge is housed in a black plastic video cassette style box with Vortok company logo and gauge details printed on paper as a cover. Inside the case is padded with yellow foam.
