Original 16mm amateur colour silent films, made by Glyn Thomas between 1962 and 1986. The railway footage were taken during journeys with ‘Ian Allan Rail Tours’ and last steam train trips on lines due to be closed as a consequence of the Beeching cuts, especially in England and Wales (Vales of Neath Railway; Cynheidre) – not all the locations were identified. Other films were shot abroad: a cruise on a P&O steamship, departing from Southampton for Rio de Janeiro with scenes shot at the ports of calls Salvador, Dakar, Senegal; footage taken in South England and France (including a railway station); aerial shots taken through planes’ windows, and footage of Sydney (Australia) and Gibraltar.

The personal archive of the work of British animator Run Wrake (1965-2012). The archive consists of Wrake’s work from his college days through to his death and comprises scrapbooks, cells and drawings (including examples of how drawings were manipulated using photocopiers), storyboards (including the detailed synchronisation of image and music), found objects and images, original paintings and illustrations and notebooks. Twelve bankers boxes and four portfolio folders, plus a small number of loose larger works.

Original 8mm colour amateur film with magnetic soundtrack, made by Hilda Mary Meek and Roy Meek, wife and husband, in Belmont on Harrow & Wealdstone to Stanmore railway line (Greater London), in 1964-1965. The film is titled 'I Miss the Train' and features the Belmont station before and during closure in October 1964. The film includes shots taken in the station as well as shots taken on the Harrow & Wealdstone to Stanmore line. Some shots show electric trains, passengers giving a last homage to the station before closure and abandoned rails likely in 1965 after the effective closure of the line to Stanmore.
