Stepped, rectangular phenol formaldehyde (Bakelite) clock, by Warren Telechron Company, Ashland, Massachusetts, United States, 1930-1935. Dark brown, damaged surface, with gold Egyptianising design applied to front in form of vertical ridged decorative inlay, and horizontal ridged inlay below face. Glass cover of circular face has mirrored edge and inlaid gold plated surround. Art deco design. Face printed with 'Telechron in cursive script above hands, and the 'WARREN TELECHRON CO., ASHLAND, MASS. U.S.A.'. Back moulded with working instructions and rectangular plaque printed in gold 'REG U.S. Telechron PAT.
