The papers comprise a letter to P Stirling dated October 1875 concerning a new coach for the Prince of Wales, 2 drawings from Thomas Ashbury dated November 1875 of proposed coaches, 4 detailed drawings at ½” to the foot from the GNR in Doncaster dated 1875 showing different 6 wheel and bogie alternative designs, a letter from F Cockshott to P Stirling dated 14.10 1875 summarizing the Price of Wales' comments on the proposed coaches, and a note on GER headed paper showing a sketch for a Royal Saloon and an upholstery sample.
