Clear glass specimen jar with glass domed cap sealed to the jar and small paper label. To contain apporximately 10 ounces of narcotine, an alkaloid obtained from opium. It has a midly depressant action upon the cerebral hemispheres. Its effect is to that of morphine on the sensory cells but is much less marked.
