fifteen unbound pages of scrap book, 1905-1910

A collection of photographs of the construction of the Barry Railway's Brecon and Merthyr Extension. 29 silver gelatin glass plate negatives, 4¼ x 3¼ inches, c 1904-1905, including views of the building of Llanbradach viaduct and groups of railway navvies. Photographer unknown. This collection is known by name of the donor, G Parrish.

Photographs, a collection of 856 silver gelatin prints, mounted on album pages in two volumes of 149 and 44 pages; 583 6cm safety film negatives, featuring signal boxes in British Railways North Eastern region, mainly York area, 1956-1957. Indexed. Believed to be the work of Cyril Myton, later passed to his friend, W.L Cartwright.

Material includes London & North Eastern Railway (LNER) Builders committee meeting minutes 1987-2010, Annual meeting minutes 1950, 1964-1987. London & North Eastern (LNE) Builders Association Football Club teams and players squadron [?] note book 1978-Jan 1989. Two 1994 diaries, Acomb cricket club score cards, performances and ephemera, one file about the club house, match record sheets, press cuttings, photographs, certificates, correspondence, a cloth badge and notebook of members. The material also includes legal agreements between York Rugby Union Football Club and London & North Eastern (LNE) Builders Association Football Club for purchasing the club house in 1966 and between British Railways Board and London & North Eastern (LNE) Builders Association Football Club for the tenancy of land at Hob Moor, York, 2nd Sept 1966.

Photographs, a collection of seventeen cellulose nitrate film negatives, 3½ x 2½ ins circular images made by Box Brownie No. 2 Camera. Features maritime scenes, locomotives, stations at Weymouth and Southampton, Great Western Railway, London & South Western Railway and Furness Railway, c 1898-1905. Photographer unidentified, was donor's father. Fair condition, but emulsion lifting at negative edges.
