Chain testing machine by Greenwood and Batley, consisting of a hydraulic cylinder, machine bed, and weighbridge end. A rail section that was once attached to the end of the hydraulic cylinder now rests on top of it. The rail section is composed of a semi-circular steel wire mesh guard with a flat metal side.
