Office chair cushion

Cushion for Carriage section, British Railways Mark I, 3rd class compartment, about 1951. The mock up section is half a compartment, open on one side, with a row of three seats upholstered in 'boomerang' moquette. The exterior of the carriage section is painted in the crimson and cream livery known as 'blood and custard'. The mock up was built for exhibition at the Festival of Britain in 1951.
