Lady's Twin-Rear Wheel Cycle

This Ordinary touring cycle was likely built in 1882 by a Humber Cycles Limited in Beeston. The bicycle frame has forks connecting the large front wheel to the single curved tubular frame which extends down to the small rear wheel. The saddle uses Humber pattern spring suspension. Both the 53-inch diameter front wheel and the smaller rear wheel have steel rims and radial spokes. Both which wheels use Hancock patent hard rubber tyres. Adjustable pedals are fitted directly to the front wheel axle.
