Gelman scanning densitometer, DCD-16, model no.39431, serial no.1007, made in USA, 1960-1990 Gelman scanning densitometer
Joyce-Loebel Scandig 3 drum scanning densitometer, early 1970s. First used in University College London's Department of Physics to digitise photographs obtained from the UK space programme and transferred in the late 1970s to the then Department of Chemical Crystallography for digitising X-ray diffraction exposures under the supervision of Dr Monica Mendelsohn. Originally operated in conjunction with a Data General Nova computer, but operated by a Plessey LSI 11 computer (equivalent to a DEC PDP 11) when used in Chemical Crystallography. The X-ray film was attached to the drum with sticky tape. Last used in the early 1990s. Joyce-Loebel Scandig 3 drum scanning densitometer 1970s
