Digital video, 'Being There', created by Andrew Cross is a film work that was commissioned by the NRM and explores the sense of anticipation when watching trains. Andrew filmed approximately 16 train watching scenarios in locations across the world. Locations include the United Kingdom, the United States and Switzerland. This work was supported with public funding by the Arts Council England. HD 16:9 (1990x1080), colour, sound. Total duration: 100 mins. Dimensions variable.

Digitised footage of Flying Scotsman being unloaded on its return from Australia at Harwich docks, Dec. 1989. The footage was shot by Robin Garton of Video Anglia, possibly as a commission from Sir William McAlpine. Mr. Garton shot over two hours of footage. There is also an edited version, approximately 25 minutes.

Digital film, 'Engineering the Now' made by Soup Co., commissioned by the Board of Trustees of the Science Museum for the National Railway Museum, in celebration of the Department for Transport’s Year of Engineering in 2018. The film was displayed as an installation across two screens, in the Gallery at the National Railway Museum, from 25 May to 2 September 2018.
