Brass door plate from the Harley Street practice of Sir Anderson Critchett, Bart., English. Sir Anderson Critchett, son of George Critchett FRCS, was born in 1845, knighted in 1901 and died in 1925. He was Oculist to King Edward VII, and specialised in ophthalmic surgery, especially cateracts. He practised at St Mary's as a consultant, and privately at 21 Harley St., W1.
