Portable acoustic gramophone closely resembling a closed No 3a folding pocket Kodak. Cover removes to expose clockwork mechanism and tone arm components. Case, blue/black crackle finish with carrying handle. Thorens. for 78 rpm 10-inch disc, record had to be clamped to its turntable with clamping nut, also used to secure the cover of the instrument when not in use.
