A hand-coloured daguerreotype portrait of a man, taken by an unknown photographer in about 1850 and encased in a gold locket. The exterior of the gold locket includes an intricate engraving of flowers and leaves, and the dedication 'FCB to EMB, Jan'y 5th 1855'. The locket also contains a lock of hair, presumably belonging to FCB, encased within the inside of locket cover.
