Small cylindrical clear glass medicine bottle with a cork stopper, and a printed paper label reading 'MERCURIUS SOL. 4.', containing white spherical homeopathic pills. The label reads as well: 'Ashton & Parsons, Homœopathic Medicine Manufacturers / 7, Farringdon Road, London, E.C. / (Formerly of Bishopsgate Without.) / CAUTION. - Ashton & Parsons request the public - more especially in the Colonies and Provinces - to insist upon having the Genuine Medicines made by them and refuse any imitations offered from interested motives. ESTD. 1867. / Honoured by commands from EMPRESS OF RUSSIA, PRINCESS OF WALES, ETC.'. From a small walnut homeopathic medicine chest by J.H. Page & Co, dating from c. 1870 to 1917.
