A boom type microphone support used to place the microphone above the actors heads in, usually drama situations, live studio recordings. The horizontal tube can be extended by the operator, and they can also rotate, and tilt, the mic head. The complete tube, with operator, can be elevated so that they are above the cameras and actors, although this is not possible "on air", the unit is preset to the correct hieght.
