Photographs of Metropolitan-Vickers locomotives for export to Brazil, 1953. A collection of eight silver gelatin glass plate negatives depicting locomotives for export to Brazil being loaded on ships at Stockton-on-Tees docks. The locomotives were 1072 h.p. metre gauge diesel-electrics for the Rede Mineira de Viacao. Made by Metropolitan-Vickers Electrical Co. Ltd. with final assembly by Metropolitan-Vickers -Beyer, Peacock Ltd. of Stockton-on-Tees. The locomotives depicted are numbers 901, 2001 and 2002.
