Collection of newspaper cuttings, chiefly regarding the work of Swan, including articles from The Engineer and The Electrician. The description of the lighting at Armstrong's residence is a reprint of 10 pages, published by Swan's Electric Light Co. Ltd., of extracts from The Graphic and The Engineer. Title page states items to have been collected in 1930 by R.W. Martin of Longbenton, Northumberland, but some clippings as late as 1938 and relating to Sir Thomas Barclay, Thomas Edison and J.H.
