Sketchbook containing juvenile drawings and writings of Anthony Langdon. Depicts tales of the fictional Mid Surrey & Extension Railway (MS&ER), narratives of railway accidents told in the style of sensationalist newspaper articles and erstaz railway publicity material for the MS&ER. Includes drawings relating to railway history e.g. Box Tunnel and the Rainhill Trials. In addition to the railway content it contains writings and drawings relating to other forms of transport, greenhouse gardening, cricket and the life of the 'King of the Tedds'.
