Flat wooden tongue depressor with rounded edges. Orange in colour. Stuck to the bottom of the first aid kit beneath a tube of carron oil. Stored inside the first aid kit used by Rear Admiral R.E. Byrd on exploration flight to the Antarctic, 1930. Made by Burroughs Wellcome and Co., United States, 1928-1930
