A photograph entitled 'Execution outside Alexandria, near the Cairo Railway…',taken by an unknown photographer in December 1882. The photograph shows a public execution outside the railway station in Alexandria, Egypt. A small crowd has gathered to view this gruesome scene. This man was executed for the murder of Dr Herbert P Ribton, a British subject killed during riots in Alexandria on 11 June 1882, during the Anglo-Egyptian War.
