80x93mm dark blue leather case with two latches. Made in Chile. Lined with red plush with flower motif. Gold leaf pattern around inside edges. Oval gilt mat. No frame, but bound. Date on binding, February 19 1859. 60x70mm daguerreotype three quarter length portrait of lady seated, wearing lace cap. Gilt on brooch, ring and chair. Badly tarnished.
