Electromagnetic pump demonstration, comprising perspex rectangle to contain mercury driven by magnets; mercury carries current. On black base 395mm x 370mm, with metal plate inscribed "Model supplied by UK AEA Instrument development dept., Risley Nuclear Laboratories". Date of manufacture, c.1982.

"Presented to Dr Margaret K Weston Bsc Eng (London) MIEE FMA, Director of the Science Museum by the Risley Engineering Apprentices Association to mark the occasion of her presentation of prizes to Apprentices at Risley on the 26th Oct 1978". With some loose parts in a seperate envelope. Overall: 130 mm x 346 mm x 190 mm.
