Documentary archaeological archive for the Openshaw site of the Ashbury Railway Carriage and Iron Company Limited, comprising of an archive report, a published booklet, a conservation report, four DVDs containing site photographs, a sample register, sample record sheets, drawing index sheets, photographic index sheets, a context list, context sheets and drawn plans. 889 items. September 2012. The archive contains the paper records relating to an archaeological excavation at the former site of the Ashbury Railway Carriage and Iron Works in Openshaw, Manchester. The excavation was undertaken by SLR Consulting on behalf of Network Rail in fulfilment of a condition on planning consent to redevelop the site for use as a Regional Operating Centre.
