A photograph entitled 'No 101. Section of an immense berg, which was nearly half a mile in length, and was grounded in over five hundred feet of water. This berg shows the texture very finely', taken by William Bradford in the Arctic, 1869. Photograph published by Marston, Low & Searle. From the Ricketts collection, one of two Arctic views by William Bradford. In 1873 Bradford published an account of his journeys entitled 'The Arctic Regions, Illustrated with Photographs Taken on an Art Expedition to Greenland; With Descriptive Narrative by the Artist'.
