Made from zitan (red sandalwood) typical of Chinese furniture. The four corners surrounding the dial are engraved with a roundel of the Chinese character meanting longevity and two kuifeng (legendary bird). The characters are surrounded by a pattern derived from a bat. The pavilion holds the Eight Immortals seated around Shoulao, the God of Longevity.
