Black and white silver gelatin photograph of crowds at the circus queing by the animal cages, photographed by John Hinde, 1947. Photographed for the book 'Britsh Circus Life' by Lady Eleanor Furneaux Smith, John Hinde and W J Turner, published by George G Harrap & Company Ltd, 1948. 'British Circus Life' followed a season the in life of a small, travelling circus, Reco Bros. A black and white photograph proof for layout purpose. Originals were Kodachrome colour transparencies, 3.5 x 2.5 inches.

Reco's Circus - A corner of the zoo as it appeared at Lanark. Many who see the circus afterwards visit the zoo.
