Probationer and Apprentice Agreement from Metropolitan-Vickers

A small series of documents related to the initial probationary period served by John Squires and the subsequent apprenticeship he served as an Instrument Maker at the company's Trafford Park works. The documents include the training regime for a Probationer and opportunities open to them once they had completed the course. Further material includes a Contract and Rates of Pay for an Apprentice and a group photograph of employees who were volunteer members of the Red Cross at the factory during the war.
