Many are indexed. The collection is particularly comprehensive of the early and late periods, 1950s and 2000s. Patrick Moore started to number the sketchbooks chronologically starting in 1993, with number '0' and continued to the end of the series, the last book numbered as 130. There are duplications and gaps in the numbering system.
