This scrapbook contains newspaper clippings and photographs stretching across Harry Sanders' entire career as a cinema manager and his life after retirement in the 1960s. The clippings refer to Sanders' management of the following cinemas: Portmadoc (1920-1923); Beehive Picture Palace, Bolton (1923-1926); The Palace, Walkden, Manchester (1926); Picture House, Balham, London (1927); The King's, Bristol (1927-1928); The Coliseum, Cardif (1928); The lido, Islington, London (new cinema, 1928-1935; Regal Theatre, Uxbridge (1935-1936); The Central Playhouse Cinemas and The Pleasure Garden Theatre, Folkestone (1936-1937); The Ritz Theatre, Aldershot (new cinema, 1937); The State Cinema, Grantham (new cinema 1937, which in 1950 became a Grenada, to 1957, and then 1959-1963); The Grenada, Kingston-upon-thames (1957-1958); The Grenada, Epsom ((1958-1959); and his activities after his retirement.
