Film - The Power of Steam

Documentary film produced by Geoff Cooke and Peter Handford, a Theatre Projects (PVT) Limited Zimbabwe and Transacord Limited England production.

The film shows steam locomotives of the National Railways of Zimbabwe (previously Rhodesia Railways). The footage includes locomotive sheds and railwaymen cleaning steam locomotives, freight trains and passenger trains travelling between Bulawayo and Hwange and on the Bulawayo Branch - West Nicholson Branch.

The footage was filmed on video. According to notes written by Peter Handford, the original project was meant to include 16mm film footage though this was never filmed.
