Vitamins cannot be made by the body so have to be eaten as part of a balanced diet or taken as supplements such as Vitavel Multivitamin Liquid made by Bencard. The powder is made into a liquid by adding water and taken once a day. It contains the vitamins A, B, C and D. By taking vitamins, the consumer became in part responsible for their own health and well-being rather than relying on experts. The multivitamin cost £2.35 from a chemist in Clevedon, North Somerset, England.
