Severe depression, phobias and sleep disorders were treated using ‘Anafranil’. This is the brand name for clomipramine hydrochloride, an antipsychotic drug. Antipsychotic drugs were introduced in the 1950s. They increase or decrease chemicals in the brain called neurotransmitters which help regulate things such as sleep, moods and emotions.

Clomipramine hydrochloride is a tricyclic antidepressant. It has a sedative effect on the body. This pack contains 100 25mg capsules of Anafranil and was manufactured by Geigy Pharmaceuticals.
