Brass bound medicine chest, 1800-1880
Brass bound mahogany medicine chest by the Apothecary's Society, 1800-1880. Semi-square box with a hinged lid and hinged brass handle. Lock on the front of the box below the lid and above the drawer. Drawer also has a hinged brass handle. Brass caps on the corners of each level of the box. Long brass pin next to lid fastening which must be removed in order to open the drawer.
