Papers and photographs of John G Click, railway engineer, c.1929-1984. The archive consists of 24 boxes of papers, publications, printed material, audio tapes, computer discs and 3 boxes of additional material. The photographic material spans approximately 2350 negatives, 1500 prints and 3050 transparencies.

During the earlier part of his career, John G. Click worked as a railway engineer and was in contact with other notable railwaymen of the era, such as O.V.S. Bulleid, and had many research papers on various subjects including drawings of the Irish Turf-burning locomotive. During the 1960s he acted as a teacher in engineering and visited Argentina in 1970s-1980s to advise on the development of modern steam locomotives.

The papers are sorted in broad categories following, where possible, the apparent grouping of Mr. Click. Box lists of the contents are available.
