Depicts an artist's impression of the exhibition at British Rail's Swindon Works, proposed to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the Great Western Railway. It shows the interior of the works, with a Western Class 52 diesel hydraulic locomotive, the prototype Inter City 125 High Speed Train power car, Great Western Railway steam locomotives and carriages. Visitors are walking around the exhibition, or are paused in groups. At bottom right is a showcase with a model locomotive. Signed and dated by the artist at bottom right. Original artwork for a poster advertising the exhibition, which was never staged because of the announcement of the impending closure of the works. Framed and glazed.
