Painting, oil on board, Trains of our Times by Vic Welch, about 1949. Depicts three trains, diesel, electric and steam, running alongside each other in a cutting on the main line near Bushey in Hertfordshire. At left is a Class 5 4-6-0 steam locomotive in black livery, alongside diesel locomotive number 10000 in black and silver, and a suburban electric train in malachite green, with "Watford" on the destination board. Signed by the artist at bottom right. Original artwork for British Railways (London Midland Region) poster. Framed, unglazed.
