Painting, oil on canvas, Faster all along the line by British Railways by Bernard Myers, about 1959. Depicts a train speeding across a railway viaduct, probably intended to represent the Royal Border Bridge at Berwick-upon-Tweed. Trees painted in an abstract style line the foreground, with vivid, brightly coloured rooftops in bold blocks recessing towards the left background. The impression of a speeding train in flashes of red and green travels across the viaduct, with further abstract trees and clouds in the background. About 80mm of the left side of the canvas is left blank, Signed "Myers" at bottom right. Unframed. Original artwork for British Railways (Eastern Region) poster.
