Painting, oil on canvas, Cornwall, by Leslie Arthur Wilcox, about 1960. Depicts a summer scene at a beach. In the foreground three children are playing in a beached rowing boat. Two adults and a child sit on the rocks nearby. The sandy beach fills the centre of the painting, with the sea beyond. At right people sit on rocks at the base of a cliff. In the distance are headlands set against a blue sky with a few clouds. Original artwork for British Railways (Western Region), poster, one of the Travel by Train series. Signed by the artist at bottom right. Unframed.
