Alternative Interpretation – Quote about this artwork from a community member with lived experience of disability, D/deafness and/or neurodivergence. Given as part of the ‘Go as you Please’, Curating for Change, exhibition project: “Travelling has given me a lot of confidence and a lot of freedom to do things that I never would have thought that I would be able to do (given my conditions). When I take the train nowadays and when I deal with a difficult situation while travelling, I think, wow, you know, five years ago, I never would have dreamed that I'd be able to deal with that.

Experiencing that sense of freedom for the first time. I do feel that way when I'm going somewhere new and I think, you know, I can do that - it's a unique feeling and a lot of people say that that's how you feel when you start to learn how to drive a car. But for me, I feel it while learning how to travel on the railways and buses.”
