Extension prosthesis for a 10 year old boy with a short bowed tibia and absent fibula. Leather thigh corset with two strap and buckle fastenings, connected by side steels (jointed at level of normal knee) to wooden platform on which rests a leather bootee socket with zip front fastening. Standard wooden foot with toe joint and rigid ankle. N.B. The foot was subsequently amputated. Made by Hanger in 1977. (Weight: 4.75 lbs 2.1 kg).
