Robert Royou Beard was a British inventor and manufacturer of magic lantern accessories. He developed a regulator which held the gas pressure in dissolving lanterns at the correct levels as well as the Eclipse self-centring slide carrier, which allowed slides to be changed without the operator having to lean over the lantern and also ensured that the screen was never blank.
Three connecting fitting for the connection of gauge to cylinder, regulator to cylinder and gauge regulator to cylinder.
Fitted wooden case.
