A photograph entitled 'A group of press photographers wait to take a photograph of the King', taken in 1939 by James Jarché for the Daily Herald.
The photographers are waiting for King George VI (1895-1952). The photograph has been annotated with names of the photographers, and which newspaper they work for.
The photograph was published with a quote from Jarché: 'Looking at my Playmates, I couldn't help wondering what a deceptive-looking lot they were. Most of them had risked their lives to get their picture at one time or another - and here they are looking like a bunch of Sunday school teachers, or members of the local camera club photographing the village duckpond!'
