A photograph of four miners rescued from Hickleton Main Colliery, Doncaster, taken in October 1960 by an unknown photographer for the Daily Herald.

The men were from a group of seven miners who had been trapped for eighteen hours half a mile below ground by a rock fall. Fifty rescuers had been called in to save the men.
