Ring binder, plastic with steel rings and paper pages, Leeds Area Manual, issued by the British Rail Area Manager, Leeds (Bob Oliver), 1976 and 1983. This manual was produced by the Area Manager for the guidance of staff. It contained details of areas of responsibility, diagrams of the area, on call arrangements, details of signal boxes, bridges, crossings, freight terminals and stations, emergency arrangements, etc. The Leeds Area Manager was the only BR Area Manager to produce such a manual. Two copies - Area Manager's personal copy from 1976 with amendments, and the 1983 version as issued.
