Papers, typescript, in card folders with buckram covers, British Railways (Eastern Region) Minutes and Papers re Diesel Locomotives, 1960s. 27 folders of minutes, reports, memoranda, correspondence, tables etc. gathered by N.C. Kilshaw of the Mechanical Engineering (Design) Department of BRB, based at Doncaster Works and attached to the CM&EE (Eastern Region)'s department. Kilshaw was later Chief New Work Inspector at the RTC in Derby. The papers describe the technical and operational aspects of the introduction of diesels en masse on the Eastern Region and discussions with the manufacturers. The folders are as follows:
